What are the three ways to sign Estonian Company documents?

1. Digitally signing with an e-residency card (or related smart ID, Mobile ID)
This is the easiest way to sign documents and is accepted in almost all situations in Estonia, including signing contracts and filing amendments with the Estonian company registry.

For Latvian and Lithuanian ID card holders, it is almost as easy as for e-residents as they can use the same signing infrastructure as Estonian residents and e-residents. Read more…

3. Signing documents in the presence of your local notary and affixing an apostille (stamp) to the documents. This is the most complicated option, which requires translating at least part of the document(s) into Estonian. In some countries, the process might be relatively challenging.
