Establishing an Estonian company (OÜ) remotely

A Private Limited Company (OÜ) in Estonia can be established remotely without visiting the country. Thanks to Estonia's highly digitized business environment and the e-Residency program, entrepreneurs from anywhere in the world can set up an OÜ without being physically present in Estonia.

Persons who wish to establish a company are not e-residents yet have an option to issue a power of attorney (PoA) to a representative from Estonia who can prepare, sign and submit all necessary documents in order to establish a company in the name of the authorized person(s). The text of the PoA in accordance with Estonian laws is prepared and sent by the representative.

The PoA must be notarized and, depending on the country, also certified with an apostille or legalized.
