Estonian Company with Polish mobile App

The Estonian Business Register must accept digitally signed documents
with a qualified service provider

General information

You don’t need to be an Estonian resident or e-resident ID cardholder to manage your Estonian company digitally.

If documents are signed digitally according to eIDAS Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 (they provide a substantial level of assurance), the Estonian Business Register must accept them in the context of Estonian company registry amendments.

For Poland, there are two country-dedicated qualified service providers, such as the Polish app eDo or the Czech portal mojeID.

There are also international service providers who can verify your digital signature at the same level.

It is important to know that when signing Estonian company registry amendments documents in this way you need to be aware of two things:

  1. Once the documents are signed, it is better to check the validity and strength of the signatures before submitting these documents to the Estonian Business Register.

  2. Submitting these documents to the Business registry does not work exactly the same way as it does with e-residency or via notary-certified documents.

Registry amendments you can apply

With digitally signed documents (corresponding requirements above), you can file almost all Estonian company registry amendments, for example

  • Change of the shareholders

  • Change of the board members

  • Change of the business name

  • Change of the registration address

  • Change of email address

  • Increase and decrease of the share capital

  • Approving and filing new articles of association
